Welcome to the BROWN POTTERS web site. This site is dedicated to, and in honor of, all those members of the Brown family that have been involved in the history of southern folk pottery for over 250 years now and to put forth a little of what I know of the family and having been raised at my Grandpa’s pottery - Brown’s Pottery, Arden, NC - until I graduated from high school.  Here, also, are some photos of the family, some of the potteries and the pottery they made.
